It's mind over matter where David's voice was concerned. He thought he would always be able to sing no matter what he encountered; on the other hand Eddie believed that if he didn't use his voice, he would lose it. What's in our heads really matters...just my opinion.

CP I agree with you. David always believed his talent was a gift. He never thought he would loose his talent. Part of it was his belief that God gave it to him. The other part was he was a arrogant mofo when it came to his talent ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I loved that in him. Eddie's voice became weak toward the end,but people still paid to see him. He was such a gentleman.

Ditto Common... If he was arrogance at least he can back it up. Today's artists are so damn arrogance and can not sing a note. A matter of fact, they want you the fan to help them sing the songs. Hell If I am paying 50.00 (today's ticket rate) why do I have to help you sing the song. I think they should entertain me until I pass out!

der, how can you not love his arrogance? The man had something to be arrogant about! Oh you know thats right! Leon showed that side of David,a lot of folks got mad. I'm saying he captured that Ruffin arrogance right down to the walk!
