Hey Board,,,,
I have a wonderful Idea.... we need to put a book together about DAvid Ruffin from the fans point of view..
Such as the first time I seen DER at a concert venue..
How special David was to his fans.
The first time I heard 'MY GirL'
The Blind Man's Story
The Palace Stories..
Andy's story was very moving he shared with the world how he felt about the day he came in contact with the Ruffin Man..BTW, Andy like Michelle, I would have starred until he told me do you want to ask me any questions. And then the tears will be coming down my face from pure excitement. Everyone talks about David being late to concert venues, I don't think I will let the Ruffan man go.. because I don't when the next time I will get this opportunity again.
The short stories should not be sleazy but an accurate detail about David and how he made his fans feel special.

Even though I never had the honor and pleasure of knowing David. Somehow, I think he would have been mad as hell about Genna "Ruffin's" book! I think she knew this and that is why it was written after David died!

Dang, I can't remember who told me that years ago someone was writing a Motown Cookbook (altho it never came to be) and there would be a few recipes from Ruffin in there. Someone told me they tried the recipe for David's infamous barbeque sauce and they believe it sent both of their nieces into labor that very night. They said they were practically drinking the sauce...one had sauce all in her eyebrows! Within 24 hours they had both delivered their babies! That must have been some helluva sauce. Damn, who couldn't love a man that could cook? ;D

Molly, it sure was high! The first time I saw his long lanky butt in person...I was just standing there in awe with my mouth open. His hair was so pretty and shiny...that's the first time in my life I noticed a man's neck...his was long lean and the skin looked like a baby's. I do know from that point on, when I looked at boys...if their neck wasn't clean and smooth...I didn't want to talk to them. I feel the same way now...if that neck ain't clean...I ain't got nuffin to say to them! But then, he had to put that doggone doo rag on his head...looking like Buster (the neighborhood thug) ;D
He and Jimmy always looked fresh!
