I just ran across a website with tons of videos featuring David Ruffin! They have him on Dick Clark's show doing Walk Away From Love, they've got I Wish It Would Rain from Street Gold, they've got Ain't Too Proud To Beg, (I Know) I'm Losing You, It's Growing, My Girl, Standing On The Top, and more! It's a search site so you have to type in "Temptations" or "David Ruffin" and then you can choose which videos you want to watch. In case it keeps getting stuck, just click pause and wait for the bar to fill up then you can watch it uninterrupted! Here's a clip of the Temptations recording My Girl that I never saw before! www.youtube.com/?v=cCkB2rrKfGs

I didn't know "ain't to proud to beg's was performed on American Bandstand.. I always thought the early years tempts performed on Ed Sullivan Show... American bandstand performances came latter..

Queenie, I don't think that 'Ain't Too Proud To Beg' clip was actually done on 'Bandstand'. I think Dick Clark got the footage for his show from somewhere else. I don't know the name of the show but the host was Casey Kasem. The group actually did two numbers: 'Ain't too proud..." and 'Beauty's Only Skin Deep'.

Hi! I am new around here, but I am a great David Fan. I saw the clip too. There's actually one clip of David singing a song I've never heard, "Wild Honey." Since I've seen that clip, I am running around asking everyone where I could probably get that song. Does anyone know whether it's on any of his CDs? Here's the video clip. Enjoy you all! Isn't he just fantastic? www.youtube.com/watch.php?v=W-L0hWFOW-0Btw. the lady who's posting the clips on that site is a member here, too, I believe. A big thank you to her ...

Hey annakonda! I love that song too, it's one of my favorite "disco" songs Ruffin did. It's from his Who I Am album that also had Walk Away From Love and Statue Of A Fool and is the album that really put him back on the map. It's not on CD yet, but hip-o-select should be releasing it sometime this year as part of "The Great David Ruffin" collection. I know I can't wait!

That's exacly the info I needed. I thought it must have been from the same album like "Walk Away ..." because the two clips from Soul Train seem to be from the same day. Thanx again.
