Not to worry. from everything that I am watching and hearing, the only ones that are in favor of the super delegates deciding this is The Clinton camp. The majority of these super delegates are saying the voters should decide. These people are politicians too, they are not going commit political sucicide by going along with the Clintons. Hillary needs to concentrate on winning some of these states so she can get delegates the right way. By Earning them.

LOL @ Duchess! ;D ;D ;D
Questions for you political savvy guys:
What is a 'super delegate'? Is it not decided by the number of votes? If not, how does one determine how many delegates a candidate gets?

LOL @ Duchess! ;D ;D ;D Questions for you political savvy guys: What is a 'super delegate'? Is it not decided by the number of votes? If not, how does one determine how many delegates a candidate gets? Super Delegates are members of the party, that can vote to break a tie (should there be one) at the National convention. They were created to keep somebody "crazy" from securing the nomination. For example Waters is a super candidate,Rangel from NY is a super delegate,Bill Clinton,John Kerry, and Ted Kennedy are super delegates. Since Obama leads in the "popular" vote and "elected" delegates (those earned) . The Clinton's want to try to persuade the Super Delegates to over ride the peoples vote and nominate her,if she can't catch up to Obama. With all the talk about these super delegates,it looks like these politicians are backing away from this prospect. Hillary has lost 3 since super Tuesday,Obama has picked up 11 or 12. Both candidates need them to get to the magic number of delegates to win,but the candidate with the most earned delegates should get their support. Hillary thinks otherwise, however her supporters don't seem to share her feelings. They aren't willing to put their political futures in jepordy to help Hillary steal the nomination, if she doesn't have the majority of the popular vote. caffertyfile.blogs.cnn.com/2008/02/18/clinton-allies-question-reliance-on-superdelegates/

Dluv, welcome to the Palace. Sometimes I post over yonder on ya'll's board.
There is absolutely nothing you can tell me about Barack Obama to change my mind about this man. My mind was made up after I watched his speech during the 2004 DNC nominating convention. I even donated money to his Senatorial campaign because I knew that one day this man would be President.
As my little political heart went a flutter for Barack for the last four years, I did not hold any animosity towards the Billary, at least not until they decided to insult the legacy of Dr. King, the voting record and patterns of my brothers and sisters in South Carolina, and trot out a bunch of Uncle Tom Negroes to insult Barack on their behalf. Now I have outright contempt for the Clintonistas.
The Clintonistas will do anything to get elected, even if it means going against the WILL OF THE PEOPLE to do so. The Clintons are ethically and morally deficient.
So there is absolutely nothing you can post to dissuade me from my next President of the United States, Barack Obama.

I saw that interview too. LOL! I know that senator wanted to evaporate into thin air. I thought it was a fair question, but just because the guy couldn't answer doesn't mean Obama has not worked on legislation in the senate. I fail to see how that senators lack of knowledge would lead anyone to believe Obama has "issues". I watch MSNBC and CNN for hours on a daily basis, and I have seen many interviews with Obama's suragates. I find them to be extremely informed, able to answer all questions on the issues and his platform that are posed. I too have missed the point you were obviously trying to make.

This makes me think of whole election fiasco in Florida. Where Gore won the popular vote but he lost to the electorial college. It sounds similiar to that. Let's hope that this does not happen again if Obama wins the nomination.

I can't see the DNC allowing this to happen. They know how bad the fall out would be. Hillary has to win all the upcoming primary's by 65 per cent just to catch up to Obama. I guess it's possible, but it certainly isn't probable. The Clintons don't see this happening either, that's why they ave come up with this new tatic. I'm confident if Obama continues to lead in the pledged delegates,he will win the nomination.

I wasn't calling Obama a Muslim. I was making fun at the post from guest2008. I agree with this statement. Just to clarify, I wasn't saying that Obama isn't "black" enough to be president. Not what I was saying at all. What *I* was saying is that he has muslim in his blood, and practiced those muslim ways as a child. WHat I am saying is that I will not vote for him because of that. I don't care how intellegent he seems to be, or how articulate he comes across. Letting someone of that culture, run in our government is political suicide. What I don't get is why is Tom Joyner, Steve Harvey, Michael Baisden popular black folks, accepting Obama into the black category, when he is not black? If anything, more whites are supporting Obama than anything. But I hear people in general, and on the radio saying that they are voting for Obama because he is black. And I am like WTF? Obama isn't black?
I'm on that Obama train and proud of it. ;D Cassie I agree I'm not voting for him either and that's all I keep hearing too is"I'm voting for him because he's black" which is wrong because I'm sure he wouldn't want votes based on his skin color just like Hillary wouldn't want votes based on her gender. but, either way whoever wins based on those things it will make history. I don't care if he's muslim..all I care about is if he does win that he does his job and do right by all americans.that's all. I'm voting for Hillary because I like her views and hell she practically ran the white house when Bill was in office..smart woman I respect her. Hi Brandy ;D You msunderstood my post. I'm 100 percent behind Obama. But I agree with you. Whoever wins need to get the job done. Democratic Debate Tonight on CNN @ 8pm ET - 2/21
