Do you know if that was Paul that sang the lead in"No More Water in the well".That has such a catchy 60's organ riff you can imagine the temptations saying"groovy 88 y'all"

Hello Der 68 I'm a collector of Baseball cards do you think one thing i could have given Paul if he were still with us is one of my Willie Mays cards since he might have been a fan of his because"Say Hey Willie"was from Birmingham as Paul was and a hero of Paul's generation. Can you imagine if Paul and Jackie Wilosn were both teaching cheoreography to younger groups today wouldn't that be an unbeatable team?Do you know what Paul was like as a personality-wise?

Hello Abe. The new cut of Love I Can See wasn't in my mind a tribute. I think they should have never messed with Paul's rendition. Have you ever heard it? Love I Can See to Paul Williams is like My Girl to David.

I met Paul Williams at the same time I met David. I saw Paul at after parties, but I never really knew Paul Williams. When I started seeing David,he was no longer a Temptation so I was never in Paul's company long enough to get to know him. What I can say is he was a gentleman, always smiling and kind.

Love I Can See to Paul Williams is like My Girl to David. You are right der68 to hear them remaking I want a love I can see"" all I can say is what the hell where they thinking of. Once again, O is trying to bring make magic... That is the beauty of C5's tenors (David's words) no one can sing it like Paul I don't care who tries to hold a note to the song. I love the TV performances O, Eddie, and Melvin cracks me up doing their little dances. On the other hand, David came to perform right alone with Paul.

I know Michael and Prince both say James Brown was a big influence. However many of the older Motown acts I'm sure were influenced by Paul. The Temptations set the standard for smooth routines.

Hello molly, this is abe again, did you ever read the artcle that said there was fingerprint evidence that indicates that Paul did not commit suicide? What i want to say about Paul's version of"I Want a love i can see"are the lush harmonies that You can imagine the five of them singing it on a stoop in Detroit in 1964 wearing bowling or dress shirts and trousers and pointy dress shoes holding and drinking from those Pepsi bottles that had the old fashioned Pepsi-cola logo on them, that's the vibe you get from Paul's version on the Meet the Temptations album.

Hey Abe I did read several articles where the cause of Paul Williams death was questioned. Abe I can think back to when you could see young men on the corners of NY singing doo-wop. Haromizing. I guess it was the same in all major cities. But I agree that is the vibe you get from Meet The Temptations.

I know there has been some controversy over the Temptations album"In a Mellow Mood"but i think it reflacted Paul's versatility when he sang"For Once in MY Life"that he could do the show tunes as well as hard R&B such as"No More Water in the Well."

The album"Meet tHE temptations"reflects a historical turning point in about 1964 when vocal groups were making the transition from doo-wop to Soul Music.
