Hi Board: I know I am asking alot of questions and I thank you for taking time to reply to them.
Question: Do you feel members in today's Temptations group will ever get the opportunity to enjoy true success. They (members) are living someone else dreams and hard work <<C5>>. C5 have set a high standard for anyone to really followed them. David made a statement in LT no one will ever sings"Just My Imagination like Eddie Kendricks and I totally agree with him who can sing "My Girl" like David << no one!!>>
An example My Girl nobody can break down the notes like David. David personalized the song therefore the tempt member knows the fans did not come out hear him they came to see how well I can sing like David.
When I heard "My Girl" I want to hear David's voice not an imposter!!!
Just a thought....

NDF- I think it is difficult for anyone to really fill the shoes of the C5. I definitely give alot of props to (((((Dennis)))))) because he was able to establish his own identity apart from David & never tried to "sound" like David. I think there has been good lineups after the David-led group but I've felt that because of the constant rotation of members, it has hurt more than help the group. Whatever warmth or rapport that the group once had, died once the original members like Eddie & Paul left. Yes, they've had hits here & there & some good songs but at least ONE thing O said was correct. There will NEVER be another David, Paul, Eddie or Melvin.

I don't think The Tempts of today will ever achieve the same success of the C5. People like myself that were in that era expect a certan sound from the Tempts. We want to hear the old songs. My Girl,It's Growing,Since I Lost My Baby ect. There are a great number of younger fans that like this music, but their music {C5} is not what drives todays market. David and Eddie said when they performed people didn't want to hear anything new. They wanted the C5's songs. Those 5 young men came together and made history. You would have to have that same combination to repeat that success.

Yes, I totally agree with Eddie's statement when I look at the C5 performing the magic is there it will be hard for anyone other than David/Eddie/Paul to sing those songs.

Hello,This is Abe,i heard stories that in the past can any Ruffin fans verify this that years after David was out of the Temptations line-upTemptations David would be in the audience and come on stage and sing. If he were still with us and did that when the current line-up was performing don't all the other Ruffin fans reading agree that would be worth the price of admission?

He's one of the voices. In fact that part in the movie was the funniest, see him just standing from the audience, and starting to sang.

Hey Abe Well there was a period of time when David would attend Temptation performances and wind up on stage. My Boy was "Uninvited" but the audience loved it. Shelly Berger says he hired security to keep David from doing this. I think I would have liked to have 8-)been at a performance when he did that, but I never was.

OMG Abe Some of these stories are true. I was in the audience at one such show. Tempts were in Detroit. I had met David then but we were still like flirting with each other. I was at this show with my girl friend. I DID NOT see David until he jumped on the stage. The audience went crazy!!!! I didn't know until after the show that it wasn't part of show! lol!lol! The strange thing was David was at the after party, and there didn't appear to be any hostile feelings between him and the other group members. Otis made an appearance and left. But the other guys including Melvin were all laffing and talking with David. Its was written in genna's book that David at one performance David swung onto the stage using a rope of some kind. :-/She is the ONLY person that I know of that has that reccollection. I think people got their money worth!

After reading about the tenors, they did not to mind David appearing on stage with them. <<abe>> I am story you have to hear lies like all the rest of us. David was the Tempts... Figure that out O and Genna>>> David is Mr. Temptations.

NDF I'm sure they didn't like having their sets interrupted. But the aftermath of the incident I witnessed was very pleasent. The other members minus Otis were laffing, drinking and talking to David at the party even Melvn. Now Otis was . pissed! So he made a Huge deal out of it,behind David's back to BG and Shelly. BG spoke to David about it,but not as a reprimand{David told me this story} But Otis wasn't having it. David did it more then once, but I only witnessed it that one time. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;DI must have been out side my mind when I referenced genna's book. Bad der :bonk: Bad der :bonk:

Bad der Bad der Der68 the other tenors did not have a problem with him popping up otherwise Paul and Eddie would have said something to him. Dennis was not going to say anything because he was glad to have a job. I am glad Melvin was nice to him at the time he need his friendship. Another question Der68 what was his reason for him jumping on stage did he missed his brothers (all). After you have slept on the floor with four other people, you have to have a close bond. In my opinion, they should have let back into the group we all mistakes.

Another thing he probably did not think anything was wrong with helping his brothers with their songs..
