Board-
I ordered this CD and will like to shared my views about the music...
One phrase I love it!!!
Yes the men are beyond their primes years but who cares they are David, Eddie, and Dennis. The tenors of the Tempts three men who changed music’s history in the 60's Also Mr. Paul Williams the other tenor of the Tempts.
The tenors interact with the audience. You get to hear David, Eddie, and Dennis talked in their nature voiced. Another rarity considers young fans like myself never heard them speak before. David tells the inception of I wish it will Rain Song (Roger Penzabene) taking his life after writing the song. When a man is losing his lovers, he goes through the same transactions a woman comes through.
Dennis sing his leads with that deep voice Cloud Nine, PsychedelicShack, and Don't Look Even Further.
Eddie sings Girl Why you want to make me Blue!!!
The song I really enjoy is Don't look Back a brother name Nate Evans sings lead. Let me tell you if you enjoy the Temptations Live (Paul's version) than you will love Don't Look Back. It has Paul's flavor all through the lyrics. I had to stop what I was doing and join along with the music. I even step with the broom. (Bro Man where are you at when I need you..
At the end, David thanked the audience for supporting them through the lean years.
David if you are listening we will always support you.
I wish I was there....

I have the Temps Review Live at Casino San Pablo CD. It's great!
AH, SO NATE EVANS IS THE NAME, eh? Okay so the lineup of Ruffin, Kendrick, and Edwards was
David Ruffin Eddie Kendricks David Sea Dennis Edwards and Nate Evans.
I get it now but who was Bass? That's kinda weird. heh. I wanted that CD. I heard Eddie's falsetto was very stale by then. Now for all you Tempfans I want you to be honest here. I dont want anyone attacking me saying I'm wrong just cuz you love Eddie so much. Is it true or not? I heard he sounded so terrible on the "Temptations Collection" which was recorded only months before Eddie died in 92 that it sounded like he was really about to die.
Anyway since we're talkin bout Ruffn, Kendrick, and Edwards, that's a shame. I really miss David Ruffin. He must have been a depressed man to have gone back to drugs so much in his life. He was so good. Even though he looked terrible at that time, he never lost his voice. He was still as amazing as he was in the 60's. I heard some files of that CD on my computer and it's great! I love it! Just a shame.........

Eddie voice wasn't that strong before this time, but his fans kept supporting him. We love Eddie, but we are not going to attack you. Ruffins addiction robbed this world of a Great Singer and Good person. But you're right he never lost his voice or his following. I miss him too. He left us too soon.

Ruffin, Kendrick, and Edwards also had a female singer; Josie was brought in to help Eddie out. We don't hold anything against these men for their illnesses. They still set the standards for male groups!

They still set the standards for male groups! WOW, they had to bring a female in to strengthen his falsetto? Now that's REALLY bad. But yes, I wish the guy didn't smoke. Just like I wish Ruff never did Drugs. Pssh we were robbed of 3 great singers, him, Ruff, and Paul.......... All due to 3 of the world's most common addictions. just a shame..... Just a shame.......
