Barrington is on Celebrity Justice as I type this, suing The Temptations for defamation of character. He states that he was fired by Otis for not being able to hit the notes on My Girl. The defamation comes in because he alleges that Otis told the other Tempts that he wasn't hitting the right notes. He is also suing for $1,000,000,000 in unpaid monies due him. The Tempts lawyer Richard Trugman states that he's been paid weekly. Either way, Barrington has a new CD coming out called Best Kept Secret. Hmmmmmmm

Now Juice this is really funny, I had heard this before, but hell most folks couldn't hit the note to My Girl. I can't believe he's not getting paid, but then his CD has been out for about 4-5 months and I have'nt heard that it's making noise..........and honestly man I didn't know what Celebrity Justice was until you mentioned it and I looked it up, it's on when I'm at work so until vacation time, I'll never see it.......but I still can't stop laughing....

I don't know about "My Girl" but Barrington layed some bricks on "Awesome", it was ridiculous.

Actually, I think it was more to it than hitting a note to "My Girl." In fact, the Tempts should not sing that song anymore.
Perhaps Barrington was a threat. He was fine, nice looking bod, sharp, and the girls loved him. (Of course I'm not necessarily a fan of his.)

I hear y'all. The CDs that I have where he sang lead, he sounded pretty good to men. Sis, you may be onto something. I haven't heard his CD though. It sounds as though Celebrity Justice was a little late to the party with this story.
Kdubya, I taped it, it was about 2 minutes long. He even sang on the show a little sumthin' sumthin'.

I love the say he performed 'This Is My Promise"
I hope Otis isn't getting senile and finding fault in each and every lead singer that comes in contact with the Temps.
My Girl? I thought Barrington did an excellent job on "Stay", that was 'MY GIRL' enough wasn't it?

Oddly enough Barrington didn't do the lead on "Stay", it was Theo Peoples. Barrington appeared in the video--doing a hell of a lip sync

Thanks Zebop, Theo also did the lead vocals on "This is My Promise". He does have a version of the song on his latest CD and he does an excerpt of the song when he performs as The lead singer of the Four Tops. He's good but Levi has his name stamped all over the Four Tops songs. The other Top Ronnie McNeir's voice is shot and he needs to "stay" in the background, alas his cut "Wendy Is Gone" has become the coda for his voice. Barrington was perfect for the Tempts,,,,guess you can't please Mr. Honey of an "O"...............smile for me now........

Yes Theo Peoples,I honestly thought he left the Tempts too soon....the brother is bad......I saw him bring the house down singing extended verses of "This is My Promise"............seems to me that the younger a new Tempt lead singer is, the shorter his tenure is in the group.......... Otis appears to be hirning older folks now Joe & GC and that may bode well for the group........
