It is unsettling to feel like one is losing the one they loved or had control of or losing makes them feel like a failure especially in a high profile relationship, and a number will kill the “failure”.

What I wish would happen NOW, with the current attention on toxicology reports...is David's family would take his toxicology report educate themself on the drugs listed in the report, and then question and find the answers to how they were administered into his system. The Philadelphia ME is quoted in the Philadelphia Inquirer "Cocaine and OTHER DRUGS"- what were the other drugs, how did they get into his system and who did it?

quote author=Drex board=beef thread=5312 post=67527 time=1241725510](((Thanks J))) I found it interesting. On a different note...a "dream come true" - PPD detectives to establish a timeline of events from May 19, 1991 until David Ruffin's arrivial at the hospital ER, review the case file, all interviews, ME/autopsy report, Photograhs and PUBLISHED QUOTED articles, ET (Entertainment Tonight) segment, video (dvd) of after the funeral, banking/financial records of specific individuals immediately following David Ruffins death, land line and cell phone records from May 26, 1991 forward. Which is true? "...Murrell said Ruffin left his office that afternoon and he doesn't know what happened after that." paraphrasing..."...however after talking to other individuals, detectives learned Ruffin was at Murrell's between 10-11 PM." WHICH IS IT? Trish, it is obvious he was not going to tell the truth. Why should he? It appears that he had all he wanted...[/quote]

I sent out information to investigative reporters and criminal writers in the LA and Detroit area. The feedback from fresh eyes is good for me. Others are asking questions I never thought of. We all agree on what happened, he was overdosed by intent. Where we disagree is one believes two of the Philly peeps did not have prior knowledge of him being overdosed, but joined in to split the earnings.

Stopping by to say year-end greetings to all. I am certain most who knew Mr. David still think of him often, as I do the circumstances of his death.
He was leaving Philadelphia. He was killed in a manner no one would question and almost everyone would find easy to believe. The accounts of those last with Mr. David were taken as face value and not challenged. His case was closed as quickly as the shabby investigation. No one questioned the answers. Another star lost, overdosed and not worth the time, unless there were money involved, poor fellow he had only a few who really cared for Davis Eli Ruffin. Most just wanted to ride the tail of former lead singer of the Temptation David Ruffin, until they realized all that glitters is not gold, or, he stopped the ride and threw them off. He was a survivalist, thrown into a world he was both worthy but unprepared. He used others as he was used by those who made money off his unique voice and showmanship. No, nothing will bring his back, and they have long spent his cash, but it is never too late.

It's good writing, Drex. I can see the visuals..... Good luck with this documentary. Whatever the truth is, the doc would be very riveting to watch. Any chance of its being made?

rufferino, my goal since day 1 was to learn the truth. I knew there were a couple of people who both knew where David, Eddie and Dennis's cash went and the order of events leading up to and after David's death. All I can say the interest in David's death is in the hands of someone I could have only have hoped of contacting in 2003. I am optimistic and VERY excited.

Police and reporters were at their doors (in PA) Saturday, June 1, 1991 but there is no mention of the "missing" money or recovered briefcase. They had talked to each other Saturday because the briefcase was recovered and sent from one to the other.
The briefcase and "missing" money are mentioned Monday, June 3, 1991 in a Philadelphia newspaper stating Eddie (in GA) and Ruth Bowen (in NY) contacted police on Sunday asking about the briefcase and missing money.
Why no mention of the "missing" money or recovered briefcase on Saturday?

Why is it money is always put into a briefcase? It just seems so typical and I am sure there are better containers that are not nearly as loseable. A 4foot tall piggy bank for instance, A wallet meant for those checks the Publishers Clearing House gives, Maybe even ... One of those checks Publishers Clearing House gives. All of these are hard items to misplace, or at least hard not to notice if they go walking away.

SORRY TO BURST YOUR WISHFUL THINKING THEORY BUBBLE BUT IT IS TOO LATE. DAVID RUFFIN IS GONE. MONEY IS GONE. EVIDENCE OF WRONG DOING NON-EXISTENT. ANYONE CLAIMING TO KNOW ANYTHING CONTRARY TO THE CORONER'S REPORT IS DELUSIONAL,OR TO PUT IT MILDLY A LIAR AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN THEM. THIS SUBJECT FOR SOME MAY PROVE TO BE INTERESTING CONVERSATION BUT THAT'S ALL IT IS. THINK WHAT YOU WILL,IT'S YOUR RIGHT. BUT CONJECTURE IS NOT TRUTH. THE TRUTH REGARDING HIS DEATH,THE AMOUNT OF AND THE WHERE ABOUTS OF THE MONEY IS BURIED WITH DAVID RUFFIN. HIS FANS REMEMBER HIM BY CELEBRATING HIS GIFT HE SHARED. HIS LOVED ONES AND FRIENDS CHERISH THE GOOD AND NOT SO GOOD PERSONAL MEMORIES THEY HAVE OF HIM. THE CHARLATANS CONTINUE TO PRACTICE THEIR QUACKERY USING HIS DEATH AS A VEHICLE TO BRING ATTENTION TO THEMSELVES. A FUTILE EFFORT THAT EXPOSES THEIR FLAWED AND DECEPTIVE CHARACTER. WHICH ARE YOU?
