BEES, Ms. Molly, and Debbie, you knew them when they were not on stage performing to millions - so my question to you do you think the world will be ready for the DER & EJK & and DE Reality show or do you think the men would think it will be a waste of their time?
My opinion - I think they would've been perfect tor reality show considering the public interest in them and the money they can make. I would love for them to tell us in their own words what it was seeing their number one songs soared to the top of the charts ( My Girl, Cloud Nine, and Just Imagination)- Interaction with family and band members and of course Motown CEO.

I don't know about that Queenie...I give it a 50/50 chance of survival. On one hand it would be a combination of Being Bobby Brown/Frankie & Neffie but considering their Motown grooming they could come off smooth, suave, and sophisticated. They have always been very professional in appearances. Reality tv has a habit of bringing out the worst in people instigating a lot of stuff and editing the way they choose. I'm sure the Big 3 would behave but production crew could always make them look crazy. I would have enjoyed them on reality tv...as long as one don't start acting like Jermaine. Come to think of it...they already did reality before it was popular...Street Gold and Dancin In The Street.

Oh Boy, LOL I think Eddie and Dennis would have been professional and I don't think DR would be unprofessional but with his dry humor it's hard to tell what he might have pulled but I'd bet it would be funny and I'll bet Eddie would have wanted to strangle him.

If Tony's book was any indication, I would be dying of laughter. As much as I dislike reality shows, this is one show I would be glued to. I would beg, borrow and steal somebody's cable box to see this. I think it would funny as hell. Plus, I think these men would of had some valuable lessons to share.

So Common you found Tony's book funny? I did too. really funny.. I wondered if folks would take it bad or get the humor but I think Tony was trying to show Davids humor in some of his stunts and that he was playing alot not serious. DR reminded me of a little boy sometimes that liked to pull the little girls pigtails wasn't he didn't like the little girls just got a kick out of annoying them. I think alot of what people thought was an ego was DR playing especially where O and the Temps were concerned. I think Tony was trying to show from his prespective a realistic look at what was going on and I don't think he intended in anyway to be hurtful to DR. I found the story Tony tells about DR telling him he was dying that night etc and the vigil he had them all going through all night absolutely hilarious. I bet he was in his room doing whatever he wanted or getting a good nights rest having a good laugh. I just about figured he would be bouncing in the lobby the next morning, big smile on his face like nothing happened. That man was quite a character.

LOL....I think it would be funny too...Dennis and Eddie not too much, but Ruffin hilarious without trying to be. Ruffin and Eddie are Motown royalty in many peoples minds (despite the way Motown treated them) but I don't thinlk they would be portrayed that way. I think they make all these particiapants of reality shows look bad. I also think they would edit it in a way to make Ruffin look crazy,Eddie look more secretive than he was and Dennis a blabbler..., But I agree with Bees...with their Motown grooming, there wouldn't be a lot of talking about behind the scenes talk about their experience at Motown or BG. ((Common))) I liked Tony's book too, because it showed the human side of these men.

Remember on one of the clips where Dennis and Eddie were backstage pacing the floor waiting on Ruffin to show up? And Ruffin finally showed up...rushing in with a cigarette dangling from his mouth and fixing his pants? Eddie was highly pissed when he saw Ruffin and turned his back on him and headed toward the stage...and Dennis followed Eddie but did not say a mumbling word? Well what I wouldn't give to hear what was actually said. That would have been classic reality show footage.

Once when DR and EK were out touring. DR seemed to think Eddie's representative (party will stay anonymous) was trying to confuse things with the monies. Anyway DR went after the show to do the pay everyone, money dividing thing and comes back quite proud that he confused the fellow and had a couple thousand of Eddie's monies. He told me to take it to him and tell him what happened. I told him to do it himself I wasn't getting into that LOL. He called Eddie and he came and got his money but you could tell he wasn't happy with DR's little prank and I would have loved to been a fly on the wall when the rep got his behind chewed out. LOL Plus if DR knew the camara's were rolling I think it would be the comedy to beat all comedies.

I remember reading how David did have offers for movie scripts when he tried to leave Motown back in the late 60s. If David had gotten out of his Motown contract, I think that David would have fared better. Plus, I think he would have been more motiviated and focused. David's personality would have been perfect for tv, especially comedy.

Maybe it's just me, but I can't picture DR as an actor. Well, maybe it's that I can't picture him as a leading male type of cat. I guess I could picture DR playing someone's funny side-kick...kinda like Richard Pryor in "Lady Sings The Blues." Or DR playing one of them old men cuttin' up in "Barbershop." That's just my opinion.
