I was in a bookstore on friday and I found another book about the Supremes. As I read the inside flap of the book, I was shocked to learn that Otis Williams and Flo Ballard were 'cousins'. It was also said that he was Flo's 'confidante'. I find this odd considering that he dated her. If I recall, I think Mary Wilson mentioned in her book that Flo dated Otis. Isn't this what he said in his Tempts book?

I don't remember. Also I never knew the two were related. The Temptation movie portrayed, Flo and Otis as "messing around". Maye they were "kissing" cousins. LOL!

Ms. Molly you know you can't believe what Otass have to say. Flo probably was nice to sucker and he took it as they are going to together.

Who wrote that book? I doubt if they were cousins...like Molly said they were portrayed as a couple in the movie...one of the reasons Josephine left O in the dust.

Is that the book where one of Flo's sisters (the one that was married to Milton Jenkins) was quoted as saying she had an orgasm the first time she saw Milton Jenkins? If it is that book, I didn't actually read it; just skimmed it while I was at Borders.
I don't think Otis and Flo were really cousins...I don't know, the review on that book is that it is littered with errors, so I have my doubts about them being related (among many other things in that book).

No. That's not the book. Did you click on the link that I posted above Brandy's post?

The Supremes: A Saga of Motown Dream, Success, and Betrayal" That is the book I was referring to, Common. Check page 29...it states that Flo's sister confessed that she nearly had an orgasm by merely just seeing Milton Jenkins for the first time! lol! I saw a pic of ol' Milt back in the day, and he sure don't move me like that! ;D To each his own, I guess.

Oooooops! My bad! I was thinking of Maxine's book when you made that statement. I never read it myself because I don't think the book was all that good. Anyway.... That's TMI. In Mary Wilson's book, she has a picture of Milton Jenkins. He's not a bad looking brother but uh, he surely doesn't make the butterflies flutter! ;D I can totally relate to the non attraction. LOL.

Maxine had a book out about her famous sibling too? Is Maxine's book more informative then Ludie's?

Whoa! How did I miss this? I never read Maxine's book. I heard some Supreme fans found it boring. I read that Tammi will be on Unsung next season. Brace yourselves, Ruffin fans. lol.

I don't have that freakin' TvOne channel!!! I think I saw that the O'Jays were gonna have an episode of "Unsung" too...the O'Jays aren't "unsung" WTF!?! I tell ya who is unsung though........and, no, it's not DR either..........it's my boy Dave! He needs an unsung episode, baby! On second thought, maybe DR does deserve an unsung episode...for his solo career. DR's solo work is truly unsung & unheralded and deserves some much needed love and recognition...Eddie's too!

Molly, I know you're excited. Who do you think, besides Ludie, will be featured in this segment on Tammi?
Duchess, I was thinking the same way too when I looked at the people who have or about to be featured on the program. But I think the reason could be that these people were on the 'brink' of stardom until some kind of tragedy or life crisis caused some huge setback. Also, perhaps, because these artists never 'crossed' over, their careers were 'unsung' to the mainstream audience. Personally, I've always felt we've made too much of big deal about 'crossing over' or singing 'pop'. R&B/Soul is just as valued and makes just as much money as pop music. If you look at some of these 'soul music blogs', it's pretty evident that it does appeal to white audiences but the industry has always been backward in their way of thinking.
