Hello This is abe yes you have a point but you have James Brown he's 70 and still going strong .Lou Rawls is in the same age group and he is classy not vulgar like a lot of today's R&BYou have some people in David's age group and older some are more musically active than others and when they perform and record they can wipe the floor with most of today's R&B artists talentwise they came from an era where you couldn't get over with so little.

if david were alive this is what he'd think in his heart about the state of r&B so many non-singin' folks.I have trivia questions for Ruffin fans who was his favorite actor and actress?

You're right James Brown is still going. Strong? hmm I don't know. Still James does special events. I think David and Eddie would still be performing, but also at special events. Some of the older groups that are still performing today should let us remember them as they were. Had Ruffin lived I don't think he would have ever stopped performing completely. He was first and foremost a performer, and Showman.

Hello This is abe maybe he would or wouldn't do a concert for us if he awere still alive that's part of my wisful thinking thing. If we were still with us imagine this is the scenario:all of us Ruffin fans plan a convention somewhere and when we meet we would each pick a song that we want him to sing and the songs we pick would be part of the convention's concert,After David's set would be over all of us would sit around with david chat and have some refreshments pose for photos with David, that would have been nice. What do you other David Ruffin fans say?

For me, I just would be preferred to talk to him. I would also love to hear him sing live as well. Speaking of which, I noticed when I was watching David doing his thing on American Bandstand, he didn't seem to comfortable with the lip-synching thing. It made me think back to what I read in Dinah Washington's bio. She hated 'mouthing' or what they now called 'lip synching'. When you're a live artist & you are use to improvising, it's hard to 'mouth' to your own records. When I was watching David, I noticed that either he was ahead or behind when he was 'lip synching'. Just something I wanted to throw out there.

Hello All David Ruffin fans This is abe again,do you think that the David Ruffin song"Rode by the Place(Where we used to stay)is moving? The line that moves me is The People we knew and trusted have all since then moved away/but i can still hear their gossip from the silence and the sounds of yesterday it's relatable for anyone who longs for the past, where they used to live and their old neighbors.

hello mollyiN terms of older artists what do you think saxaphone player Junior Walker might be doing musically i'd say he'd be in his early 70's he'd still be wailing with his sax ,and be able to beat today's sax players a third of his age what do you say,to me he was and is the best saxaphone player in R&B ever.

HELLO MOLLY THISIS ABE,HOPE YOU'RE DOING WELL.I UNDERSTAND WHERE YOU'RE COMING FROM WHEN YOU SAY THAT YOU WOULDN'T WANT DAVID AND EDDIE TO HAVE TO WORK SO HARD BUT I AND OTHER FANS SUCH AS QUEEN DIVA NDF WOULD WANT TO SEE THEM PERFORM JUST ONCE.WHILE THERE IS TALENT IN TODAY'S GENERATION IT'S NO SUBSTITUTE FOR THE TALENT OF DAVID AND EDDIE'S GENERATION.
