ONE THING I ALSO WONDER ABOUT DAVID IS WHAT WERE A COUPLE OF HIS FAVORITE SONGS BY HIS BROTHER JIMMY.I PERSONALLY THINK ONE OF JIMMY'S MOST MOVING SONGS ARE"I'LL SAY FOREVER MY LOVE,DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY THOUGHTS ON THAT SONG?."DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY THOUGHTS ON HIS VERSION OF STAND BY ME THAT HE DID WITH DAVID ABOUT THEIR FRIENDSHIP.

I say another reason to see David perform if he were still alive is because there are certain fans who are traditionalists that would want certain classics such as"My Girl", to be sung only by him.I have a feeling if he were still alive he might stop by this board to say hi to all us fans.

I have a friend who's also a david ruffin fan and said that if he were still alive and singing that he would be better than 80%of what's out there now does that sound like an accurate estimate?

Hi Abe! When anything comes down, one of us will post the info here. I don't know what other CDs Motown/Universial will come out with on David. There's only so many times that they can keep putting the same songs over & over & over again. What I would like would be a box set featuring all of David's solo songs & unreleased efforts. But I know this wouldn't happen because there has to be a market for David's records. Unfortunately, most people continue to associate him with the Tempts so most fans don't know that David had recorded 8 LPs on Motown. I like the Brother's Keeper LP too but unfortunately, I will have to burn it myself. Again, I don't think Motown would release it as a CD. I'd be pleasantly surprised if they did.

David certainly would know who had IT and who didn't. I couldn't see David, however disquailifying the untalented people in public. But then again if he heard the "talent" in Houston last night,he may not have had a problem.

Abe and Molly, David and I went to a club one night in Atlanta. There was a girl singing her heart out. Much better than the band. The crowd was so disrespectful to her and basically ignored her. David had enough and proceeded to march up to the stage and sang the song with the vocalist. The crowd went crazy. I still have the photo. This is the David I know.

I couldn't see David being mean to a contestant. Even if they were horrible, I think he would be encouraging to the person. I don't think it was his nature to clown someone in public like Simon and Randy. Paula doesn't say much, but her facial expressions tell it all.

David would never embarrass a contestant in public. He would dahling and baby them to death in public. But Oh girl! The funnies would sure start as soon as he was in private. ;D ;D ;D ;D

ABE- My favorite song with both Jimmy and David singing is “your love is worth waiting for”.
NDF- after David answers my interrogations, I mean questions, he would be too tired to answer question from the rest of you all. LOL ;D
