This is abe again,does anyone think that the O'Jays song"Use ta be My GirL'can be thought of as a break up sequel to"My Girl"and like i said i feel Walter from the O'Jays might have been partially inspired by David in his vocal style in that song he sounds Ruffin-esque.

Abe...back in the day...for every song that was recorded...there was an answer to that song. My Girl was the answer to My Guy by Mary Wells. Who knows, Used To Be My Girl could have very well been an 'answer to' song...but I doubt it cuz they were so far apart in years.

last Year was declared the national year of the year of the Blues where they had a PBS special on it,how might David feel about 2003 being declared the year of the blues since he was from mississippi it's birthplace.Does anyone know if he had any aunts and Uncle's on his mother's side?

hello this is abe again,how do you think it would sound if David did Blues albums for the southern label malaco after all as i said and everybody knows he was born in Misssissippi and grew up on blues. Hi ABE! A blues LP might've worked! I can definitely hear David doing a blues album. If you listen to 'Double Cross', you hear how David would've been comfortable singing in this genre.
