Hello This is abe,if i did meet david at Tower Records and he started a conversation with him The tower records in Lincoln Center has chairs where you can read magazines do you think i could have got him to sit down with me and have a conversation about his music. In terms of topic he would have liked discussing how would he likely feel if i repeated to him what i said on the "In my Stride"board that the line in the song"Rode""The People we knew and trusted have all since then moved away but i can still hear their gossip from the silence when i think of yesterday is a line people who long for people and places that they miss can relate to?My guess is he might say that"Yes by singing about real life situations is how my fans can relate to my music, does that sound like something he might say?

Oh Abe. Yes Ruffin would have sat down and talked to you about his music. He would have enjoyed doing so. As far as his singing lyrics that related to real life situations I think his answer would have been Yes. Trust me Abe he would have told you a story about some song he sung.
