Yeah, I do recall you saying that things that are more public knowledge now was kept on the DL then. But wasn't there a rumor back then that David did/was dating Dean Martin's daughter? Jasmine: Whoa, chile! ;D ;D ;D Tell us all how you really feel!! ;D ;D ;D Joy: is all I can do! I can see this is going to go someplace else. Ruffn did date Dean Martin's daughter during the late 60's.

I dare say the reason she was cornered had alot more to do with her attitude then her race. Y'all know how she "flaunts" her so called relationship on the board. Can you imagine how proud Miss Thang was to be on David's arm? No more fuel on this Morning Fire.

I am going to try to answer Morning's post point by point. First of all every post leads back to you and David. The question was speaking of a time in the 60's early 70's. You can't speak to that time with David because You were not there during his Motwn years. For the record Molly, David and I have been in clubs, restaurants, airports, anywhere a couple of the same race would go. North and South. The only time I ever had trouble was in the North in a club, where black women cornered me in a bathroom. David heard it and stopped it...NEVER did we have anything happen in the South. If you're trying to tell me interracial dating was "accepted" in the South. Then I will tell you thats a Damn Lie!!!! I lived in the South I know!!!! Feel very fortunate that Ruffin "rescued" you from those two Black women, cause you were getting ready to take one. If you noticed I DID say things changed a little in the later years. Still it wasn't accepted. It was just tolerated more. I have a question though. When white people were told they had to accept black people, and that began to happen, did you and other black women not think that the acceptance would lead to interracial dating acceptance? This happened with black men and white women as well as white men and black women. In fact how do you feel about the black men, asian women dating, etc? Do you have any idea how Damn Stupid this question is? First of all the Civil Rights Movement had NOTHING to do with your Precious acceptance! The Civil Rights Movement resulted in Blacks being treated with equality. "did you and other black women not think that the acceptance would lead to interracial dating acceptance? Stupid azz statement again! Black and Whites have been sneaking around with each other since slavery. Civil Rights Movent had absolutely NOTHING to do with Black women accepting white women dating OUR men. I hope you know without asking how I feel about interacial dating. Personally, I did not come from racist parents, and I never had the problem accepting black as equal. The only thing my Mother ever told me when I was a young girl was, "Black people can't help being black anymore than we can help being white." To me, that put us on equal footing. Damn!!!!! You don't know what a racist statement is do you? ? We can't HELP being Black? We can't help it? ? That sounds like compassion rather then equality. Most Black people are PROUD to be Black. My Goodness!!! You know what? Don't ever post to me regarding race and your Mother's patronizing ,racist comments. Because I will curse your Stupid azz out on this board. Now if you don't believe that Try it Jody. Stupid ..I have never had problem with black women and white men. Why is it such a problem for black women to see black men with white women? Not all black men like white women, and not all black women like white men. Don't think it is going to be a major deal in the future either...I have mixed grandchildren and I love them with all my heart. There is no respecter of persons in my family...If you have no where to go and all your life to get there, that might pose a problem, but not race... Maybe you have never had a problem. Maybe that is because you as a white woman like black men. Don't know.Don't care. I do have a problem with the Jungle Fever Attitue of some White Women You happen to be one of those women. Girl you had better leave me the F**k alone. I can speak of the time in the 70's, early or late, it was not much difference... Molly !!! Not once did I say that interracial dating was accepted ANYWHERE. I just said for David and I , it didn't happen in the South...By the way who said there were two black women in the bathroom?About 5 of them is more like it...I just said black women... What my Mother meant by her statement was that neither race can help being what they are. That was stupid on your part. We don't choose to be black or white, or any other race. In no way was that a raciest remark...If it had been, I would have been racist!!!I AM NOT!!!!!!!!! Tho you are sure showing the other side of what I was brought up to believe. I am not one of the jungle fever white women! You are the raciest here Molly. Think about what you just said. Stereotypical statement if I ever read one... The Civil Rights Movement had everything to do with white acceptance of blacks. Equality... In the process, blacks and whites became tolerant of each other and grew friendships, and some of those friendships evolved into marriage. You said, every post either leads back to me and David, well every post leads back to you and David, or der and David, or Tammi and David, or whom ever happened to be with David at the time. What is the difference? I was making a point, nothing more. Pick, pick, pick... Leave you the f--k alone you say, I will, if you keep your opinion of me to yourself... You don't own me or this board...You sit up here all high and mighty and say what you want to say about me, and expect me not to say anything. Ain't happening Marge...I have had it with your holier than thou attitude. I truly loved you as a person in the beginning. You are as crass as they come lately...

White women have this attitude that while they 'love' black men, they are totally dislike black women. White women have been put on a pedestal as the epitome of beauty & desire while black women are always constantly stereotype as mammies & sluts. Basically, white women have been told that are better then everybody else & they fall for it everytime. And it's not just 'black women' who have a problem with interracial dating, white men & women do too. So don't put this all on the 'black woman'. And it's absurd to have to have force another human being to 'acknowledge' the humanity of another simply by the color of their skin. White people shouldn't have had to 'accept' black people. That sounds racist within itself! Who died & gave white people the authority as to who should be accepted? Your post sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me! Jasmine, I have never felt this way. If anything the opposite. Black women are georgeous...There may be some white women that feel this way, and I am sure there are black women that feel this way. The reason being the way the cultures evolve into each others hairstyles and clothes. It has never been that way for me. Some of the statements you say or ridiculous. No one should be made to accept one another, but I was saying this is what white people felt during the movement. I do not!!!Equality is earned not given...Any race I mean... White women and black women are not alike. I am not saying that we don't all eat, sleep and potty the same, I am saying that we don't see things the same. If that were the case, I would not be in this conversation...I promise you, I am not in any way a raciest...BUT, does it matter? does not seem to with some of you at the Palace... Of course some white and black counterparts have a problem with interracial dating.I have seen that within my family. Not parents though... WHY do you say that black women are considered Mammies and sluts? Heck they have those in the White community, and the Indian and Asian community. That is not a title for black women only...Stereotypical statement Jasmine...

You must really think what you had to say was important. Since you posted it twice. I posted to you ONLY because instead of answering QNew's post you chose to post to me. Jody I am not holier then thou, but I am holier then YOU! You've had it with me then leave me te hell alone. I don't want to be bothered wth you Period!!!! I really don't care how you were bought up,what you were taught,or what you believe. My utter DISLIKE of you has nothing to do with your race. I would feel this way if you were Black. STUPID has no color. Your mother's statement was STUPID!!!!! and your azz was STUPID to repeat it. Again I say regardless of the number of BLACK women that had you cornered you were lucky. Jody just go wrap yourself up in your "fur" coat and gaze upon your engagement "ring" and leave me the F**k alone. You can add me to the growning list of people that don't want to be bothered with you. Love your damn self.
