Board,
David died June 1, 1991 and was laid to rest June 11, 1991. A normal funeral process is 7 days. My question is why did take so long to laid David to rest??
Did family members have anything to do with this such as who was going to oversee the services?
Jimmy living in London.
Where David was going to be burrried Detroit or Mississippi?
Money
Motown
Church
Security for the event (David was special)
The current nobodies(tempts)

Money Motown Church Security for the event (David was special) The current nobodies(tempts) As we all know Ruffin died in Philly. His daughters had to go there to claim the body. I am sure there are state regulations involved when transporting a body out of state.Money probably played a big part in this too. Jimmy was living in London, but he was in Detroit to meet the plane carrying his baby brother's body. Michael Jackson paid for Ruffins funeral. There were others that assisted the family. However the family was not bombarded with offers of financial help. The family was in charge of his funeral arrangements.I don't think they anticipated the large number of people that turnt out. The Detroit PD did as much as they could do to handle the crowd.

Ms. Marge, I know that was a terrible time to lose your sister and a dear friend so close together. A friend told me last night that her elderly mother and sister-who had cancer, both died the same day, they were in shock, not prepared. No one was prepared for Mr. Ruffin to die, either. I can understand how those who knew him knew that drugs could lead to death, but I think he was on the rise and looking forward to the future. So many were at his funeral.
QNDF, did you get to go to his funeral?

Thanks Mrs. Molly..
All the women who were professing their undying love with books and bill board’s ads, DER should have oodles of money. Oh I forgot undying love comes after the DER went to his final resting place.
