Thanks a lot Ruffan. This is much appreciated. I got a chance to listen to the last hour and half of the program. Very exciting. I also like the Mama Ruffin reference and the other announcer, Keith, who kept cutting up. However, the host's interview skills are a lot to be desired BUT I am not ungrateful. I'm glad that they had the family on his program.
I also found the R&B museum website. Scroll to 4:01.
There's a brief snippet of the Ruffin clan at the ceremony from last year, where the Tempts/David was honored. Everyone looked beautiful! I rolled my eyes when I saw judas O holding the certificate with Cheryl. Cheryl is more classy than me. I sure as hell wouldn't be taking a picture with no man who has badmouthed my father as much as he and his draconian manager, Shelly, has.
My condolences to Kimberly on the lost of her husband. She's gone through so much. I feel for her.

Hi Ruffan7, I listened to the replay last week and was able to hear some of the parts I missed during the original broadcast. Thanks for posting the link.
Hi Common,
Thank you for positing the video. It was good tò see Kim Weston. I absolutely adore her duet with Marvin Gaye called "It's got to be a miracle". Kim's voice on that song sounds so lovely.
It was also nice to see the MÃ rvelettes and the Vandellas were inducted the same time as the Supremes.
Great to see David's family accept his award.

Hello all!
Citystars: I'm glad you mentioned Kim Weston. I always loved her voice. I have an album she did with Johnny Nash back in the late 60s after she left Motown. I was glad she got her props because she has always been underrated as a Motown artist. She looks good. I read that she was in a car crash in Israel years ago but she looks as though she made a nice recovery.
It's interesting you mentioned the Marvelettes. I just watched an episode of Unsung that featured the group and was surprise to learn that Wanda Rogers was a hardcore addict. I thought it was just alcohol from what I read in Raynoma Gordy's book but it seems like she had a bad addiction. However, I do recall that in Raynoma's book that Wanda had witnessed her sister being shot in the head by a jealous boyfriend. That tragedy obviously fueled her addiction. I was surprised it wasn't mentioned on the Unsung episode.
Brandy: LOL. She should've pushed his old behind to the side. It will be interesting what the family has to say about O in the book.
