Hey guys. I was recently listening to some Bluenotes music, and it's great of course. I read that there was a lot of tension between Teddy and Harold, so I've always wondered, they did ever make-up or at least try to bury the hatchet with each other before Harold passed away? I tried looking for some info but I couldn't find too much about this. It would be a shame if they still weren't talking to each other decades later.

Hello flameace,
If you can, check your local library to see if they have Teddy's book in their collection. It's an interesting read in how Teddy felt about Harold. From my recollection, (I read his book a long time ago), he said Harold was always 'contrary' and that he underpaid him and his group members. Basically, Harold was a greedy and jealous SOB and Teddy got sick of him and left the group. Of course, Teddy didn't mentioned that he himself suffered a serious case of the 'Me-itis' and had a huge ego. I wondered if Harold read Teddy's book. I seem to get the feeling that neither one of them wanted to do much with the other. Of course, that's plain speculation on my part.
The Unsung program is an excellent start but try to read the book and come to your own conclusions. I am a fan myself of the Bluenotes and listen to their music often, especially, their duets with Sharon Paige.
Hey Brandy, hope everything is well with you.
