I am encouraging everyone to sign this petition who has not done so. This petition will be submitted to both Otis and Dennis to let them know that the fans would appreciate them coming together. I think it would be a wonderful treat for the fans, not to mention the money that both Otis and Dennis could make. Please go over and sign the petition! I don't mind seeing Dennis but O?? He don't do nuffin! I think a reunion with Dennis, Ali, Richard & even Damon would be nice. O has to be included, unfortunately.

Although I would like to see Ali, Richard, and Damon, I think the tour would probably be limited to O's group and Dennis' group, otherwise it might have a tendancy to get messy. There have been many Tempts, and all of them probably would want a part of this tour and it would just be too many Tempts for me!

They wouldn't be The Tempts if it wasn't messy! ;D ;D ;D Just kidding! My only concern is that it will be O calling all the shots & I'd be interested if he was willing to include to David Sea as part of the Tempts package. Hey, this is something that could happen!

David Sea is already a part of Dennis' group. This concert would have O's group and Dennis' on the same stage. David Sea would already be included. I just wanna see these groups face off on the same stage. With Dennis singing his own material and Otis singing his...might seem like old times! ;D ;D

Got my wires crossed! :bonk: I thought it was individual ex-Tempts coming together. Yikes! I don't know if O would really want to face off against Dennis, considering he keeps alluding to the fact that Dennis' group is 'fake'. I would love to see this happen but we know who the obstacle will be to prevent this event from taking place!

But you know Money is the Best Motivator. They all could put a little something in their pockets. Otis can't call nobody a fake. Cause his Temptations have been imitations since David Ruffin left. No disrespect to Dennis, cause His voice kept them afloat. But I say Let this happen.

Everyone would benefit from such a extravangza(sp?)! I would love to see something like that is happen! If reasonable heads can come together, this would be something special for the fans. And yeah, O's Temptations are just as fake as Dennis' except that he just has exclusive rights to the name. I never did see what the difference was between O's & Dennis' group! Go figure!

Bee I signed the petition. As far as seeing a Reunion. Hell naw... too much pain on O's part... O will have to beg on his hands and knees do the tempt's walk before Dennis consider joining him on stage.
Taking a man to court because he contributed more than the one who is hiring the attorney is wrong. I don't think Dennis will sell his heart to the devil.
Sometimes money is not enough for the years of pain that man has place on Dennis's feet.
Besides, I will not support any endeavor like that I can see my hard earn money going to man who will do anything to get attention.
Writing a book about three men you have slept, piss, and eat with is below the belt.
The type of petition I like to sign is Stone Fest fans throw stones at Otis. I will be the first one in line.
At best Dennis needs to continue to do his thang and O needs continue to tell people he is a real tempt.

Okay well I've read article after article and within my research, it said that somewhere in the southeast, or midsouth, Dennis and Otis's groups were both playing in the same city. But on different sides of it. Then Dennis bumped into Otis at a restaurant. He was really nice to Otis and gave him a hug with nothing but true and genuine smiles. Despite what happened between them before, he still had the heart to not think bad of Otis. And yall are right, he isn't gonna say anything bad about Otis. It's becuase he's too good-hearted a guy to talk smack. Anyway they talked for like 15 minutes then Otis said he had to leave so he did but before he left, Dennis said he'd love to see him again after Otis's group was done with their tour. Otis said yes he'd love to and he promised Dennis he would call once the touring was over and he tours more with his group than Dennis's since they are the "Real" temps under the Motown label. This was two tours ago and what happened? He never called. So I think the beef is with Otis towards Dennis not mutually. It's sad too because I think Otis really is a jerk.
Now on the note of the individual temptations coming back to reunion again, that'd be a great idea. They should have one again. This time there's more tempfans than there were in the 80's. At least in my opinion. To have Dennis, Ali, Otis (Yeah him), Joe, Terry, Ron, Damon, G.C. and Richard all get together like the 7 Temps did in 82 would be revolutionary. I'd go if they could tour down in Cali where I live. Actually to as many of the concerts as there would be within 2 hours of my area drive.
Hmm...... as far as Dennis's VS Otis's groups, I think that Dennis's group will not do as well because Bernard Gibson is not a good falsetto singer. It sounds like he forces what he has to sing out of his mouth. Like he's not a natural with it as Ron Tyson is. But they have a great harmonic sound together. Plus Chris Arnold who usually does Pauls parts really can't do them justice. He sounds too hollow in his voice and it makes it look ugly. Now David Sea can tackle the Ruff and Ali solos very well but those can only take you so far. Don't forget, the Otis Temps have Ron Tyson and they've been under the shadow of Motown for awhile. Actually if they dont pull those "Newer Temp songs like from the mid 90's on" like "Lady" or "4 Days" or "Stay", they'll be equal. This is just my opinion.
I really hate how fans mostly give Otis all the love and have the nerve to talk trash on Dennis when if it wasn't even for Dennis, the Temps wouldn't have gotten their first grammy as soon. I mean with Ruff, they would have gotten one anyway. I still dont know why they didn't get any grammies for the songs they did with Ruff. I still prefer, "I'm Losing You" to "Cloud Nine" As much as I love Dennis, I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE DAVID RUFFIN! He's my favorite!I GOTTA SAY AGAIN YALL, HE'S MY FAVORITE! I really love David Ruffin! He's better than Dennis, Louis, Ali, Theo, Bo, anyone who took his role after. But Dennis deserves a lot more credit than Otis. Otis didn't do JACK! For real! But since he did go through it all even before Dennis and even David came along, he DOES unfortunately deserve the recognition. And once Otis is dead, the temps are NOTHING.

AT, you sure are long winded! ;D I agree with most of what you said. I don't recall Chris singing any Paul songs. I know Bernard does Don't Look Back and they both do Just My Imagination. I could not have possibly nodded off on that part of the concert. ;D And you are absolutely right about Dennis...he is very good hearted! He should have been a preacha!

I do have a passion for the Temps and their music. They've done so much for people of all cultures. Not just the african-american culture. I'm so hardcore I do make sure I do as much research as time permits me to do. And yes, Chris Arnold cannot do Paul's leads very well. And I meant Paul's leads as in like in "I Can't Get Next To You". Terrible. Just Terrible. And Bernard is just hiddeous in "Just My Imagination" and also in "Girl Why You Wanna Make Me Blue." Just terrible. But I'm glad we do share the same love for Gentleman Ruffin.
