Karralyn First of all, welcome to the board, Karralyn! Second, this song from David & Jimmy's LP, I Am My Brother's Keeper. Now, I recall there was a David & Jimmy Motown Series compliation CD that was put out but that only featured solos by each brother. I do believe, though, there was one or two songs that had them singing together (from the Brother's Keeper LP). I really do hope the folks over at Universal do put this LP on CD and include some unreleased or remix cuts! We can only pray.

1973: I Am My Brothers Keeper ... Had some good songs ... I love STAND BY ME and HE AIN'T HEAVY HE'S MY BROTHER ... Because of all the ad-libs we're David and Jimmy just throw each others names in the song ... and make the songs their own ;D
;D Welcome to the board karralyn ;D

Stand By Me was released in 1970. By 1973, David had released his own self-titled LP and Jimmy was trying to escape Motown(I think it was in 1973, ironically). All the songs on the LP are nice. My favorites are Your Love Is Worth Waiting For, Set 'em Up(Move In For The Thrill), Steppin On A Dream, True Love Can Be Beautiful...., the whole LP. It was beautifully put together. Too bad it didn't do very well or probably wasn't promoted properly.
