Common,
You took the words right out of my mouth because I also don't think Unsung did Eddie any justice. I wish Unsung had: 1) focused more on Eddie's songwriting ability 2) his friendship with Pau (I was really hoping to see pictures of them as young kids) 3) his solo career
Duchess, The disco segment featured every major disco hit recorded. I agree I don't understand why Unsung did not play more of Eddie's solo work. How could the producers have overlooked the beautiful song Tell Her Love Love Has...''?
Not sure I believe the theory the rift between Eddie and BG was caused by his relationship with Diana.

Who did the producers interview, the folks at the palace? I'm beginning to wonder why EJK was selected "UnSung". I thought everything that was stated in the episode was said on the social media sites. Common the regulars show up: O, Mary and Shelly. Mary said, " she had a crushed on EJK". I think everyone at Motown had a crush on EJK. Mary loves the spot light. Same old stupid news from Mary.. O went there again with David. According to the world of O, He felt life as a tempt started when Dennis join the group. Wow, I really thinks O needs to go back in time and just think about things he had said to people about David. If it was not for David, I truly believe O would be mopping floors in the Detroit public schools. Shelly another one loves the spot light. Can someone please tell this man to go away. He thinks he knows everything. It was EJK Unsung not David Unsung he had to say something about David as well. We all know David's demons. I tired of hearing and reading about them...Go away Shelly...Go away.... It was nice to hear from the family Ms. Pat, his daughter and son. Little was said about the Alabama family. I wish the producer would have spent some time talking to his family. I'm interested to know besides EJK who else in the family can sing. How come his mother and the siblings did not speak? It would've been nice to hear their reactions watching EJK on the television. In the 60's to watch someone of color on the tube, was BIG. However, Unsung did mention Eddie was arrested at David's funeral and BG paid his bail. Hooray for Unsung to find the dirt...gosh that is something I wanted to hear. Eddie knew the risk but, saying goodbye to David was more important to him. Unsung I thought Eddie wrote songs for Motown. Is his estate receiving money from his recorded songs? What I did not know was the lead singer for the first five songs was Eddie. I always thought Paul was the lead singer. Diana wanted EJK so she ended up at his house to cause a scene. Ms. Pat, Eddie's wife at the time said, she did not want relive those days so she did not expound on the comments. I'm pretty sure this was before BG started taking interest in her career. EJK mentioned to everyone who wanted to listen BG did not like him because of Diana. I think EJK wanted to get paid. I guess he felt Tempts were just important as the Supreme and should be compensated. Thanks UnSung for bringing this out..Gee, I always wanted to know this. David's and Eddie's relationship I did not need to hear this from the Unsung. If you listen to O version of the truth, spend time watching You tube tempts's videos, and David's and Eddie's last video, you knew how close the guys were. Common, you can watch EJK Unsung on TvOne.

Queenie, thank you for that. I did get a chance to see it. I responded to it in the other thread (I also saw your response there, too).
Citystars & Queenie
O and shelly are old ass men and they still are immature. If you have nothing nice to say, why continually make digs at someone who cannot defend themselves? They look very petty and cheap every time they attack David.
And O tried to make Eddie look like he was 'flaky' because Eddie didn't want to deal with him. Like Eddie didn't get a clue as to the type of person O was. Uh, maybe Eddie stopped talking to you because he thought you were nothing more than a sellout that threw the other group members under the bridge in order to establish yourself as some 'leader'.
I was disappointed that they did not discuss the relationship between Eddie and Paul. Those two were buddies and I wanted to know how he felt when Paul died. It must have torn Eddie up.
I truly believe that the Unsung program should be made longer and be better researched as it pertains to the subject.

I enjoyed this special. One of the most intimate specials.

I too was disappointed they didn't talk more about Eddie's relationships with Paul and also with David, but then Unsung's production is based on a formula with it's main objective as money, so I wasn't really expecting anything different.
On the positive side - my very favorite moment was the final scene, with the black & white footage of Eddie saying "what is life all about? Love! What is love all about? Life!" He had such sparkle, such incredible feeling and charisma in those moments, wow! took my breath away. Those beautiful eyes....
